Hello fellow UCP members. I am grateful for the opportunity to put my name forward as a contestant for this critical position with the United Conservative Party board.
I bring first hand experience to the role of VP Membership. I was elected as the VPMembership for the Wildrose Party in 2015 and successfully led the membership to unification in July 2017. Aside from provincial executive experience, I bring strong communication and interpersonal skills as I have a proven record of developing and maintaining relationships with industry leaders and stakeholders. Experience in planning, implementing, and assessing programs and strategies is another area where I have measurable success.
I understand that strong families and effective education systems are paramount to sustain a free society, which is why my career path has led me to 25 years as an educator teaching in both the public and private K-12 system. I am originally from Saskatchewan, then in 2000 I relocated to Alberta. I reside in Red Deer where I continue to teach and advocate for school improvement through choice in education.
I received a B.Ed from the University of Saskatchewan(1995);M.Ed from St.Francis Xavier University with a major in Education Administration(2011); and Master of Public Administration from the University of Saskatchewan (2012).
Aside from being a director on the Red Deer South board, I am not committed to any other volunteer projects as I recognize that my full attention and time needs to be spent reachingout, building, and retaining a strong membership for the United Conservative Party. I lookforward to serving you.
